While I am new, I have done a great deal of research and reading, so hopefully what I'm about to ask will be construed as a semi-intelligent question. Your answers will involve giving opinions, so I'm really hoping some of you vetrans (5+ years experience) will weigh in.
Goldkey is obviously breaking new ground in how they are approaching the traditional parking model (pure type-in or "accidental" traffic). The ability to (gasp!) get link partners for your parked sites, submit keywords for additional pages, and the automatic creation of daughter pages for search terms that found your site, is indeed groundbreaking.
Since they just launched earlier this year, we can speculate, but not really know how things will shake out long term.
My question is this: are the minds behind GoldKey brilliant or are they pushing the PPC envelope too hard, too fast?
Some vetrans have said that long-term, this model may blow up in GK's face. Others argue that GK may force changes in how the older, more established companies operate their PPC programs.
As for me, I come from an SEO background and I see the obvious advantages to being at GK. All my domains (except gambling and adult) are there. Since Yahoo is taking 6 weeks on average to make requested optimization changes, I won't really see the true potential of my site's income for a while (I parked everything there on 7/23).
For us, there is no "risk" being at GK. If things "blow up" over there, we simply move. (I guess you could argue there is risk in losing income if sites go offline or there are other internal issues, but I am speaking more philosophically). I am indeed curious to see the industy's "reaction" to the GK model over time. And I am fascinated to see how GK fairs long term. For now, I'm going to ride the wave.
