Looks like godaddy is conintuing on with their "girls" theme of promotion. They have a new site godaddygirls.com with the well known Candice from the Superbowl commercials, and Rachel who's on the front page of their website. I'm surprised to see she's actually an employee, and not just a stock photo model. If you watch here TV ad, you'll also see a 10% discount code of "rachel2"

Now I also see Danica Patric is going to be sponsored by Godaddy. Still expensive, but probably a better choice of spending that the superbowl commericals, since the logo will probably be emblazened on the car for a long time. Looks like she'll be doing TV commerials as well.

Now, if godaddy commericials would just quit calling them "dot-com names" and start calling them "domain names", maybe the industry could progress and grow a little.

On the one hand, I'm glad that GD is getting the industry message out there (albeit watere down), on the other hand their whole marketing company borders on sheer hilarity. GoDaddyGirls sounds like a line of little girls' dolls (perhaps it is )

Actually if you click on one of the models there's a button on the side that allows you to chat with them. It says "coming soon" though. :p

I just noticed that godaddy won't let you check availability of domains that contain the word "godaddy". I wouldn't be surprised (nor would I blame them) if this is one search they would actually log, for possible preemptive regging.
