GoDaddy Refunds..?

hi,

Ive just got this message from a godaddy member of staff about the refunds on eu domains that havent been captured by GoDaddy:

Dear Darren;

Thank you for contacting Customer Support. The .eu registry has begun
its landslide registration of all non-trademarked .eu domains. The
registrars, such as GoDaddy, are attempting to register the domains
pre-ordered by their customers as quickly as they can. However, if more
than one registrar has a preorder for the same domain, only one of them
will be able to register it first. We will make every effort to register
the domain you have ordered through us during the pre-registration
period; if we are not successful, you will be able to apply for a refund
of the pre-registration price, minus the application fee for the domain.
This non-refundable fee amounts to 25e. We apologize for any
inconvenience should we not succeed in filling your pre-registration
order. Please let us know if we can help you in any other way.

On reading it says the amount non refundable is 25e So does this mean it costs 25.00€ of 0.25€??

As i only paid the $15 dollars for it which is around 12€ im guessing im never going to see that money again and its gone?

We will get refund but a 'small' fee will be taken off

no1 knows what the fee is yet tho as person from GD wouldnt tell the guy who rang up as he didnt have any pre reg'd domains with them

Exactly the fee quoted in my email was 25€ as showed above in my first post. I have emailed them back asking if they mean 25.00 or 0.25.

I wont be best pleased if i dont see this money again and have got nothing. It dont even look like GD tried today.

i had high XXX worth of domains with godaddy pre-reg. we'll know for next time....oh....wait.....there is no next time. Thanks a lot go daddy. You got your ass whipped by some unknown company which i have converted to namely spacereg.com "The worlds number one registar"

selling domains that are unavailable, selling domains already regged 3 or 4 hours previous, selling domains and not acquiring any, for anyone - and charging lower than the central registry fee for all of them..... reeeeeks of a scam...!!!!!

Maybe someone should start a "godaddy - how many did you backorder and how many did you get" thread....

Jeez, these guys were charging me for so called "available" domains that are still under "pending application".. This is called fraud where i come from

I read many time in chat and in forums advising people not to pre reg with GD, experienced domainers were telling everyone to use a reputable registrar that has experienced landrush tld's and had some success.

I personally feel for all of you that will/have lost money using the GD scam. But a day like this just goes to prove that even large companies like GD will take advantage of those wishing to cash in on a quick buck. just my 2cents
