I stopped using Godaddy almost 2 years ago, right after I started using them, ha. Now for the first time I've bought some names and they have been pushed to my Godaddy account from the sellers' (more than one) Godaddy accounts.

What is the procedure, because here's what has happened:
1. Paid for names.
2. Supplied sellers with what they asked for, which was my Name and my email addy.
3. They did pushes at their end.
4. I received the GD email with the Transaction # and password.
5. I went to my GD accnt, to the 'accept account changes' area as they directed, typed in the above numbers, hit OK, and it said 'done' or 'thank you' or something like that.

This was over a week ago, and these domains are still not in my account. I emailed support, and they said there's more to it, that I actually have to contact the seller and provide all my registrant info, like address, phone #, company, etc., for them to fill out a 'change of registrant' form, etc.

This doesn't make sense for a 'push'. Way too much work, so what has gone wrong?

At Namecheap, for example, you only provide the person's username, hit push, and your domain is instantly in their account, ready for them to edit about 3 seconds later.
If it was just one seller, I'd think either he/I did something wrong. But it's the exact same thing with more than one seller, and none of the names is in my account after more than a week...
Anyone fill me in about this darn Godaddy push?

Thanks
Bannen

GoDaddy does want the full whois for a push, but:

I've sold names and the buyer didn't give the info, so I just made it up.
The pushes all went ahead no problem.

I think GD support is just reading from the script.
I'd suggest asking for the ticket to be escalated to advanced support, as it sounds more like something is wrong with your account.

EDIT: one thing to check / ask about - GD might have automatically created duplicate accounts for you, so all the names might be in their own new accounts. was the email you provided for whois exactly the same as the main email address on your GD account?

did u get the checkout cart with 0 payable amount in the end? If yes, the domains should have been in ur account instantly.
If not, try doing the procedure again, it should tell you these codes hae been applied already.

Yep, you have to go to your cart and checkout.
After that, you're all set.

Thanks -NC- :)
The procedure is a little tiring but in the end the domains should be pushed instantaneously. I mostly use GD so the procedure is kinda drilled in lolz
Try using the codes again. If they dont work ask the Seller to generate another set of codes if his Account change button enables on selecting the particular domain. If thats also not possible you should generae a ticket, they generally respond within a max of 24 hrs (sometimes 1-2 hrs)

Thanks for all the help, people. I did go in and look at everything you mentioned, and learned the process thoroughly. Guess I had gotten lazy with such easy pushes at my other registrars.

Prob solved, all domains now in my accnt, it was definitely my not following through with the checkout cart; luckily it was within 10 days, so did not have to ask GD or seller to generate a new transac # and password.

Thanks again :)
