Can seller push from their GoDaddy account to my Namecheap account? What fees?

If I win an auction, is it possible to have the seller push the domain from his/her godaddy account to my namecheap account?

If so, will I encur any transfer fees other than a 1 year renewal cost from namecheap?

If there are extra fees to push across registrars, can I instead have the seller push from their godaddy account to my _godaddy_ account to avoid the extra fees?

Can I then transfer the domain from my own godaddy account to my namecheap account without incurring extra fees? If I do this, will I have to wait 60 days from the initial ownership transfer?

Thanks in advance!

i will put it simple.

if you reg at godaddy, you have to wait atleast 60 days before you can transfer to an other registrar ( namecheap as example ) . but you can transfer the domain within godaddy if you havent got it 60 days yet.

and yes there are transfer fees if you reg at registrar A and transfer to registrar B, namecheap says : 8.88$ for transfers!

hope this was helpfull.

Transfers cost.

Registerfly has weekly specials...sometimes as low as $5.50 (I think).

yeah but I would personally avoid registerfly, saving a couple bucks on a transfer is NOT worth the headaches of dealing with them imo.

Strongly disagree.

No headaches here. I've been dealing with them forever. Great telephone support. Cheap prices.

That's been my experience.

I don't know about phone support, but I have headaches while dealing with their support thru support tickets.

Unhelpful, and sometimes very slow.

but on the otherside,
I love the speed that they update URL Forwarding/Email forwardings,
which is considerably much faster than Godaddy/Namecheap offers.

There is a representative here at NamePros from RegFly that you can pm. Paul is always very speedy to help customers out and frequents the forums often. His user name here is regfly

I've never had a problem with them and have always been very satisfied. :tu:

All the Best,
Chris
