GoDaddy Extends Expired Domain Auctions

Well well well...

GoDaddy seems to figure that if they extend the length of the auctions, theyll get more bids..

Instead of the 10 Day Auctions, were so accustomed to, GoDaddy is now throwing in 17 day auctions. I wonder if this will truely help? Considering most experienced domainers know not to bid until the last 3 minutes anyway...

Maybe they need to take a page out of the SnapNames playbook and do the 3 day auction format?

I hate waiting 10 days now, why would they make it 17? I do bid in the last 3 minutes and now I'll have to have the domain in my favorites for longer.. just waiting and waiting to bid on it.

GoDaddy/TDNAM will do anything and every thing to sell a domain including falsify the stats. I have personally seen this with some of my own drops and have had several others comment on the same. If it was as good as they claim I would have never dropped it to begin with.

I used to sell with great regularity on TDNAM and was very successful for quite sometime until they got so damn gimmicky. They put so much hype and VALUE icons on names that are in GoDaddy's coffers that a legitimate good dot com by a private seller is literally buried in a the glitz and glamour. I would venture to say the 80% or more of their top CURRENT AUCTIONS are crap and GoDaddy owned.

Fortunately for us, from what I gather on this thread we are able to recognize a pile of crap before we step in it.
