GoDaddy & DomainsByProxy

I read somewhere that the DomainsByProxy site may require you to pay something like 15$ when you remove a domain from their services.

I was thinking i.e. if you transfer the domain to another registrar.

So, my question is, has anyone who has bought domains with GoDaddy and gotten the free (or paid for) whois privacy service they offer - which is DomainsByProxy - had to pay fees to transfer their domains to another registrar?

I never had to pay any fees.

That doesn't seem right, but I would check their site and contact them if you can't find the answer. Or contact Godaddy support since they should know.

I think Godaddy offer free privacy if you buy more than 5 domains.
