I've spent tons of money with Godaddy; bought bunch of products that I even didn't use yet (from premium certificates, pro reseller account, ddc, api account, auction account, ultimate hosting already paid until 2017 and so on...), Godaddy now is my first obligation on my Credit Card every single month with my 1600 names around.

I've paid the Groupon joke and now I can't pay anything with my in-store credit. Sounds good Godaddy; something in my ears tells me that my history with you is getting over.

That exclusion was not mentioned in the Details for codes applied in the cart. What did happen is that upon checking out using In-Store Credit, the screen right after "Secure Checkout" (with the Access Code CAPTCHA) says:

"Payment method not allowed for this basket
Please click here to go back and confirm that your information is correct."

Apparently, In-Store Credit is second-class money at GoDaddy.

I think that it should have been clearly stated, that they planned on not allowing in-store credit to pay the promotions. Specially editing them after they have been out for a while.

I know that in all the "TOS" blah blah it says that certain things cannot be used in conjunction with other promos....but in store credit is no longer a "promo once it is paid for and claimed. Now it is my actual legal funds that they are toying with, once it was in their possession..

I smell another Groupon/(now involving Godaddy) Class Actio..

Didnt try that, but as I know auction deals are tough because the price is like a merchandise sell (such as a fixed price) and coupons in there aren't welcome though

Yeah, this is the only working code. I just used once again for another .com transfer but different card and account was required. All went smoothly

GoDaddy gone little crazy. They are always trying different things. Just look at the bottom of your domain. You will find very near to the empty cart button
