Sometimes I might leave a name or two unregged if a holiday is fast approaching and I'm pretty certain that it won't get any attention for awhile but now with Cinco de Mayo and :td:Mother's Day coming and going without a dollar code, I don't think I will anymore. On my digital calendar I have a special get ready to check for a code tag for holidays with May 28th Memorial Day, Father's Day, Flag Day and even D-Day next month. I think I'm going to cross them all out and start considering moving on to another registrar as my primary.

Years ago I owned over 3,000 domains with Godaddy and I used codes from this thread all the time, you could always expect to get a big discount or a workaround. I think that played a large role in Godaddy's growth, however, like a lot of things with Bob Parsons, when he doesn't need you anymore, well...

And for years Network Solutions and Register.com felt they were to big to drop prices and use promos until Godaddy came along and spanked both of them and now both are giving out $1,$2,$3 promos trying to catch up.

Someone new can always come along and beat you at your own game if you are not careful.

At one time Sears, Woolworth and Yahoo were all kings.
And now its Wallmart and Google (for now)
So GD needs to keep guys like us happy because once someone else has a better deal we will all migrate and the word will spread and then sooner or later the rest will fallow.

Its like Night Clubs, you may be all the rage today but that doesn't mean you will be tomorrow

I have to start looking at other registers now as most of my 100 domains are with Godaddy besides a couple of .com.au domains. I used to have a lot at Dotster or Mydomain, I could get them renewed or transferred to and throw and with my affiliate commission it worked out around $5 per domain or less a year. But I stopped using them as they are a terribly badly run company now and so many issues. I really have to find another Godaddy so I can transfer to and throw at less than around $7.80....

gdbba547 kicks ass. Lowest price I've seen for .com, .net, .org and .info renewals on GD. I was renewing bulk (6-20 domains) so that may have something to do with it. I don't know if it works for other extensions.

$8.67 for .com
$8.17 for .info
$7.68 for .org & .net

Go Daddy renewal code that still works for .com (maybe others).... brings it to $8.67 per domain
