Go Daddy Auctions Expired Domain Purchase

Just won my first ever domain name via a Go Daddy Auction. Ended up bidding over $200 for it, and now have it sitting in my cart waiting for payment. Does anyone have a working Promo or Source Code so I can try and reduce the price significantly?

$200 is a lot considering I usually like to register names for $2.95 when the specials are on

Also, this is URGENT, as I read that Go Daddy will debit my existing card after 24hours if I do not pay manually myself, so the window is closing. Dig for codes my friends.

Thanks for the code, I tried it but no luck. Actually I've tried about 50 or more codes, from this forum and also sites like the following:

But none of them are working. Perhaps they are all disabled when you win an auction? Does anyone else have any experience with this? Has anyone ever managed to get a code to provide a discount for a GD auction purchase?

DANICA25 is supposed to drop 25%. That one is pretty recent.
DOWNFORCE used to drop 15% - not sure if it still works.

You could try the .info 50cent "trick" as described by superbiz75

first you select domain in .com, then go to pay and in the final basket would be a posibility to get same key .info for 49 cents. You have to select this .info for 49 cents, then cancel com you have been ordered. it would be now only one .info in your basket. But you will be not allowed to pay until your basket is over one usd. So... hte repeat procedure again and you will get another .info for 49 cents, repeat it as much as possible"

So lets say you want 50centinfo.info , you put 50centinfo.mobi into your shopping cart, then at the shopping cart godaddy will offer you 50centinfo.info for 50cents by checking a little box. Do that, then remove the .mobi and there you go one 50cent (49 cent plus fees)
Takes a little time but seems to work.

No it is not.
But, at the moment .info's are free (well, except for the $0.18 fee) with every .com purchase.

I used to purchase only .infos with 50 cents, the free comes with a not usable .com domain ( for me ) for $10, bad thing.

Any idea when this free .info thing will be removed?

The keywords don't have to match and I have also picked up the free .info domains with .net and .org registrations.

Put a .mobi and a .info in your cart, at checkout remove the .mobi and add a .org. You'll get the .org for 4.99 and the .info for free (plus 18 cent fees)

If it was an expiring domain auction, you can use a code on the renewal fee, but no codes will work on lowering your winning bid. What you bid is what you pay + renewal fee if applicable.

Yeah, usually what I do is I cancel the privacy, and do the renewal and privacy add-on transactions separately with two different codes.

I made it public in the shoppingcart, but the privacy fee is still there...

You need to login to your corresponding Domainsbyproxy account and remove privacy there.

As others have mentioned, .info names are free with .com registrations at the moment.

However, you can still get a .info at $1.99 (on its own) by using the trick of adding an available extension of the domain (.co,.mobi,.me, etc) and the .info will be $1.99 once added to your cart. You can then delete the .co/mobi/me/etc domain from your cart and checkout with just the .info for $2.17 including the icann fee.

This may be helpful for someone regging the .info when the .com is already taken.
