advice GoDaddy DDC - $2 domain price increase after tax?

Could please someone who is EU-based and member of the DDC club help me check this? Please see and report the price for new domain registration (in USD), after tax. It always used to be around $8.50 for me and now it's $10.50 - not competitive at all.

is that VAT added?

they started charging VAT (+18% in my case) on my purchases (DDC) this year. Including auctions.
Renewals/regs went from $8.46 or something.. to $10+
So I did't renew my DDC membership and am moving to Namesilo and elsewhere
I don't know why GD has to add VAT while many others don't...
Name.com, Dynadot, Namesilo, Namebright etc etc do not add VAT, for me at least. Or any other taxes/fees on top of their published prices.

I`m EU-based and member of the DDC club and I recived a auto renewal receipt today and there was a tax of $2.12 added to the normal renewal, so I had payed $10.59 total - I pay taxes in the country in which I live, so I do not understand why GoDaddy are starting to pull tax from me - Maybe some one from GD will explain this?

They need to pay tax in the country from where they are operating business.
