Everytime I call GoDaddy for assistance they are so unhelpful. It's like they don't want to help you. They're attitudes stink too. Anyone else had bad experiences with them?

Think I might make a formal complaint.

I've never had that big of problems with them over the phone. I guess it might depend what your situation is and how complex it is.

Few months back they had online chat support but i couldn't see the link to chat anymore.Have they discontinued it along with email support?

They haven't discontinued it, just made it hard to find. If you visit this page:
https://www.godaddy.com/help

Scroll all the way to the bottom where you see the purple background. It will say "Still need help?" and have a "Chat With Us" button. You can click and use that. If it's not there you may need to wait and refresh because their queue is full.

I have always found online chat support more helpful than the phone support.

I've always found them super helpful on the phone. I use chat almost exclusively anymore so I haven't had to call them for awhile though. I think part of anyone's success with customer service is how well you are able to articulate the problem and how much you can control the direction. We have a call center at work and the number of people who can't put together a coherent sentence is amazing (not saying that is OP, just in general). For fans of Stern, imagine JD on the phone telling you his domain problems.

I think once, out of maybe 100, calls were unhelpful. They seem to be pretty decent, overall, until the end of the call. When you tell them you're not interested in their silly domain club, they get all pissy.

Never had an issue. Don't call often though only when I sell a domain as they have my domains locked down from transfers. So basically call my account rep and say I sold a domain, then he calls me back and I tell him the magic password and then the transfer goes through. B-)
