Not a bad deal :imho:

https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/wwd_landing.asp?se=+&ci=1106

(Not an affiliate link)

Get GoDaddy's best prices, have the opportunity to make a little bit on the side (You always see folks in here asking for reseller options), AND get more in Adwords than you're spending on the GoDaddy account anyway.

Certainly understand that WWD isn't perfect, but it's getting Adwords credit on the cheap, plus a little better info on the WWD world ( Hell, just trying it out considering it is so frick'n huge in the domain world would be worthwhile :imho: ) from experienceing it 1st hand.
An automatic 10-15% discount on Adwords is good by me, unless anyone has a better coupon?

Certainly not a bad deal at all...$250 Adwords credit which is sweet. $6.25 domains. too bad "domain registration" and keywords of the sort are all highly sought after in PPC market.

That's when you use the $250 for crappy keywords hoping to get lucky ;)
The "shotgun" method

Or "site target" your ad with a super-high bid on one of your own websites.

Wait for it to get clicked,

Take 1/2 of $250 back in cash and get the reseller at basically 1/2 off.

Do you know how much profit there is in re-selling the Basic/Pro Reseller package?

Also, if you don't renew next year do you stop receiving profits from resellers you already set up?

The profit on reseller accounts can be found on the WWD site.

In the FAQ it says that if you do not renew then all your client accounts will be moved to another reseller.

I think it is definitely a good deal. But you have to think, it's a great deal this year because you get the credit. You will not get it next year when you renew your subscription again, though, so you''ll be paying full price.

HOwever, IMO, it is still a good deal for a turnkey reseller plan, BUT only if you have a good plan on how you are going to sell your services. The domain reg and hosting markets are VERY saturated with sellers. Don't think you are going to sell domain regs to domain traders on this forum. Many will not buy from WWD resellers for various reasons. But even if they do, you have to sell at rock bottom prices to them anyway or they will jsut go elsewhere and will most likely not buy extra services if they do reg a domain from you (extra services is where the profit comes, not in discounted domain regs).

IMO, if you are going to try and build your business on PPC alone, I think you will find out that that is not going to work out unless you have a lot of captial as you will most likely spend around $10-20 per acquisition. Meaning, you will most likely not make a profit from a non-domain trader customer for a few months, that is, if they do not abandon you and they buy extra services. Advertising costs in a saturated market need to be looked at on a future profit basis, not on an immediate profit basis.

From my assessment of the domain reg/hosting biz, if you are not going to be marketing your venture locally and in person to local businesses, you will most likely find yourself out of busienss with a year or 2, if you even last that long.

Edited to add...

Well, I hate to rain on this parade but did you read the fine print? I thought it was too good to be true and in fact it appears that way...

Fine print:
Promotional credit must be applied to a new AdWords account within 15 days of creating the account and is valid only for new Google AdWordsโ„ข customers with assisted signup accounts ("Jumpstart Accounts") or self-managed signup. Advertisers will be charged for advertising that exceeds the promotional credit. Advertisers will need to suspend their ads if they do not wish to receive additional charges beyond the free credit amount. Subject to ad approval, valid registration and acceptance of the Google AdWordsโ„ข Program standard terms and conditions. The promotional credit is non-transferable and may not be sold or bartered. Offer may be revoked at any time for any reason by Google Inc. One promotional credit per customer. Advertisers with self-managed signup accounts are subject to a $5 activation fee that will be deducted from the promotional credit. Advertisers with assisted signup accounts can apply the promotional credit and receive free ad clicks after their Jumpstart prepayment balance is depleted. Expires December 31st, 2005

So, seeing how Google does not allow multiple AdWords accounts, unless you have never signed up for an AdWords account before, you cannot use the WWD Google Adwords credit.

There is no cash equivalent. It is merely credit. Use it or lose it.

If interested I can provide you the WWD reseller accounts a little cheaper than on WWD.
Basic: 90$/yr (99 at WWD)
Pro: 179$/yr (199 at WWD)
Check out http://reseller.targetdomain.com (official WWD reseller soulution provider)
If you present me a reliable buisiness plan, I might lower this fee (just PM if interested) ;)

But nRnF, you cannot sell lower than you already are according to WWD TOS. They have a price floor on reseller plans.

But aside from that, tell me, if I sign up under you or another super seller and you charge me, say, $179.00 for the pro plan (as opposed to WWDs price of $199.00), does that mean that every year after that I pay your discounted fee of 179 to renew or must I then pay full WWD reseller plan prices every year after the first? Just curious.

nRnF,
You seem to know this inside and out. Do the reseller/super reseller listed prices apply to transfers? I did not see this in the FAQ's.

Yeah, their old faq used to have a lot more info. I believe the old rate sheet also stated that transfers came with one free year with the purchase of at least one year of course. But I could be dreaming. BUt i am pretty sure all the promos available at GD are available with WWD reseller accounts. Again, i could be dreaming. I have been keeping my eye on WWD for some time now and right now and I think the new plans look very good. I almost wish, though, that I could actually use the free adwords credits. That is a real bummer. But still, it looks like a great system to build upon.

I think, if only they would let you be able to switch off the obnoxious checkout pressure ads, they would be a lot more attractive. Don;t get me wrong, I believe that these ads are money producers for certain markets. that is why GD uses them. But they also saw the annoyance factor and made it posible for the customer to shut it off themselves, although, it is not very clear on how to do this if you are neew to the system. In some markets, I believe these forced ads would hurt you. If you try a hand at the full price market, then I think you'd be wise to turn off the ads if they would ever let you. They really should do something about that.

I would like to get that $10 - $12 discount rate for their backorder service. Despite TDNAM (or anything else involving the expired market) they have proven successful for .US and .BIZ drops.

@nRnF if someone sign up through you do they get all the benifits includding the adwords voucher?
