GoDaddy Broken?

Has anyone tried to register a domain via GoDaddy today? Did it work? More than 2 hours ago I registered a bunch of domains (.com .org and .co) and not a single one has appeared in my account. They took my money, sent me a receipt, and yet the domains are still available for someone else to register... wondering what is going on!!!

I faced similar issue last week. This issue is quite often with their payment gateway.

I had to contact them since the domain was not reflecting in my account and the payment went thru..they said that u need to go to my account and in the Order history it will be reflecting as pending order. Then i need to cancel the order and money will be credited back to accnt within 3-4 working days. I got the refund now.

Also sometines it has happened that the domain was showing as available while registering but it does not gets registered as the domain was already registered and it happens due to GD network issues. In that case also u ll get the refund.

So it is better to check the whois before registering.

This is a serious issue. When I want to register a domain, I want it registered right at the moment, if it's available. I am not going to wait for 2 hours and lose it because somebody else registers it.
If this happens to me, I go fast to another registrar and register the domain there. No playing when talking about available domains and time to get them registered.

They are broken everywhere. I sold a domain name and after domain name transfer they asked me to update payee, I did and after more than 3 weeks asked me to submit documents.

First of all they took 20% and then $25 to send wire and that too after 3 weeks sent me message that it failed. How pathetic and unprofessional they are. I made mistake second time in two years to use their platform. Last time they took more than a year to send me funds which was after deducting $150 from my payment for trying several times, despite the problem was in their systems.

Never again GoDaddy. I will use epik, DAN or any other provider for peace of mind transaction.

I am not sure but i strongly suspect that these domain platforms are not doing a fair business. Even if the domains are available and if they are by coincidence comes out having a good market value these platforms will not allow u to reg it and they will show u that it is unavailable. And if you go and check the whois you will find that the whois is private.

I am not sure but maybe their platforms are connected to major Dictionaries which cross checks if that comes out to be a single dictionary word and even if it is available they will show as unavailable and Private.
So forget about handregging any dictionary word even if it is available nowadays.

This happened to me once. And it was because they use a third party payment processor, and if they fail sending the funds to your bank, then Godaddy don't have a clue about what happened. GD will tell you that they don't know nothing, they have sent the funds to their third party payment processor (not directly to you through their bank) and that's what they know.

Godaddy are becoming a joke. It's actually quite worrying.

A few months back i had a .co.uk domain that nominet sent me a 7 day reminder for.
I renewed within the 7 days with Godaddy and got confirmation emails.

A day after the domain would of expired, i got an email from Godaddy saying the domain had been deleted from my account !!

I raised a complaint with Godaddy, which ended up basically turning into a support ticket.
Long and short Godaddy didnt even apologise.
Quite frankly they were useless and all they bothered to do was just gave me a refund!
They should of just manually renewed it for me. I wasn't amused at all as that left it available for many hours for someone else to register.

Anyway, luckily i was able to manually re-register it myself.
Still the whois now, makes it look I like only just took ownership.
Not great for its value or chances of selling it.

TBH..... What happened here is totally and completely unacceptable.

Some weeks later............
Same thing. Renewed the .co.uk domain in question.
Checked my account some hours later, but the renewal hadn't gone through and so i had to spend ages with Godaddy support to get them to force it through manually !!!

Seriously WTF? If i hadn't intervened and pushed it, i probably would of lost another domain.

Oh and another thing.....
I have two factor authentication.
Yet days later i have been able to go to Godaddy.com on the computer i last logged on with.
I can navigate ALL through my account, look at my domain names. DNS settings etc.
All without having to go through TFA or logging in again!

It's has only asked me to re-login once i get to the checkout !
AGAIN, WTF !!!

I have noticed this happened a couple of years back on one occasion.
I reported it to godaddy and they gave me some stupid answer.
Basically as it was my computer it didn't really matter and that nobody could action
anything on my account without using the TFA !!

I face such issues often with GoDaddy, its time they address and fix these.
