Is it possible to move domain from GoDaddy reseller to GoDaddy?

Godaddy has monthly limit of 500$ for PayPal payments :(
Does this limit apply to Godaddy resellers too?

I asked this to GD some time ago and the answer was that the only way is to do a transfer (like from one registrar to another.) But there was no way to do an account change. I believe this still stands.

I thought moving of a domain name from one account to another under the same registrar does not attract any fees...

Moreover, most of the registrars out there in the market provide this facility & don't charge anything extra..I've been dealing with ResellerClub for 2 years now & they allow moving of domain names from under one reseller to another, FREE!!

GoDaddy is out there just to scam people & make extra money out of nothing at all..

This is only ResellerClub who allows to move domains from one reseller to another as far as I know. ENOM also don't allow to push domains between resellers. And in comparison with ResellerClub/Directi pricing/tools GoDaddy is the best possible registrar for domainers

Andrei you can solve this problem by changing your default Paypal account into another. if you dont have any just make it. I have about ten accounts there, Just choose which you want to use on the check out page, and go !

No, just make it at GoDaddy.
Once you get the checkout page you, you can make your payment under "different account " by adding self-mad code under the Paypal info, then next time you pay, you can use which one you use. I've made excactly "10 accounts". because I had the same problem as you have now.

But does Godaddy accept creation of several attached PayPal-accounts with the same email?

note: I have only one Paypal account.
its just, like i say " self-made account " it all goes to one Paypal account.

It made those accounts last year, i used it many times.
it still works. You can make it in "My Payment Information " menu.

I'd rather suck up Bob's liquified dead and rotting carcass than have a domain under his 'protection'

Ergo - for the PayPal issue ... log-in to PayPal and click (don't hover) on the Profile tab under My Account tab

once there , click on Pay List in the middle column (Financial Information)

once there , click on the PayPal agreement you have with GoDaddy

in the middle of the page that comes up there is "Billing Limit:"

change it to whatever you want (eg. $1000)

regarding the resellers issue ... GoDaddy resellers are actually under the Wild West Domains registrar so there can only be a transfer from Wild West Domains to GoDaddy (with transfer fees) and not a free account change (push)

I'd ask snowbird I belive hes a reseller for them. Ask him if you can use more then 500$ via paypal with him. I can't see why not.

hey , thanks for the reps

the limit is set by PayPal (so that you can monitor/limit your spending with a certain merchant) and not from GoDaddy (I am sure GoDaddy wouldn't mind if you overspent lol) ... so in Profile you can easily set it to the amount that suits you best

dalBono - there is no need to set up multiple agreements ... read my previous post on this thread on how to view your current PayPal agreements ... then fix the limit on one of the GoDaddy agreements to the per month amount you want ... and then cancel/delete the rest of the GoDaddy PayPal agreements

since you are in Holland (and if you are using a dutch credit card) , you might also want to check "Conversion Options"

log-in to PayPal and click (don't hover) on the "Profile" tab under "My Account" tab

once there , click on "Pay List" in the middle column (Financial Information)

once there , click on "Set Available Funding Sources" (the link is on the right above "Total Billed This Cycle")

once there , click on "Conversion Options" next to your credit card

once there , choose the first option so that PayPal charges you in the currency of your credit card

after years of usage I have found that PayPal charges a better exchange rate than my bank (though in Greece I use a UK bank account that I have from when I was studying in London for my Master's) , while taking into account both the exchange rate and the foreign exchange fee

but you must check whether this applies with your bank's exchange rate and foreign exchange fee in comparison with PayPal's exchange rate and foreign exchange fee
