I believe Godaddy has initiated a reversal, and is re-acquiring their domains registered for $4.19 using the smtp email exploit.
Good move on their part, but it raises a couple of questions:
1. Whose responsibility is an exploit?
If a user uses the tools provided to achieve a discount, within legal limits, is the registrar bound to honor the payment?
2. If the exploit is closed, should the registrar have retroactive recourse against the owner?
3. What should happen to the domains?
