Getting a PR

OK, this is the 1st time im actually trying to get a PR.

I was going to buy a text link on a PR7 site, and do a few link exchanges. This will bring my PR up a good bit, right?

It depends. If Google finds out that you're purchasing links, it will demote you. If not then sure, PR7 backlink would be nice. You still have to keep in mind that in SEO community PR doesn't count for much since it has no affect on your rankings. You can have a PR4 site outperforming a PR7. What does matter is number of relevant one-way backlinkgs from highly trusted sites, off-site SEO and on-site SEO. It's a waste of money to buy links, IMHO. Sooner or later you will get in trouble

I must agree with Studio, it is alot of work and money for little gain. Do not purchase links, concentrate on getting legitamite ones.
