Get Hits Like Nobody's Bussiness

I recently went to the former location of my blog and happened to check the site statistics. I've still been getting quite a decent amount of hits although my blog hasn't been around for months.

The reason being that it's still on many search engines, listed under it's old name, cached to contain the text it once did. In fact, in theory, you could read the whole blog if you knew what words to search for. But why were people searching for things mentioned in my, now longdead, blog?

Easy, I mispelled a few celebrity names. As a result of my mispelling, I am one of the top hits on Google for those celebrity names, when mispelled by the searcher.

My site is ultimate among illiterates everywhere! ^_^

Not bad if all you want is hits to your site, but if you want targeted hits then it really does you no good because the people are looking for information on what they're searching for not a misspelled word so they'll usually move on unless you have something to convince them to stay. But you never know for sure....... either way I would say the more hits the better! :D But the more targeted hits you can get is the way to go I think.

It's a known fact that porno and all kinds of other sites do this as well as register misspelled domain names. :D

blogs always get hits for the wierdest things, really. i think i saw a site on this, where it posted wierd things that people's blogs got hits for.
