Quelle.de is introducing their very own .mobi-Domain for Mobile-Shoppers and thereby hopes to expand the user circle of their already popular Mobile-Shops.

Quelle.de customers will now have access to over 200,000 products anytime anywhere providing the most flexible shopping experience yet. „.mobi promotes quelle.de to high standards and a comfortable shopping experience“, said Nicole Enzesberger, New Media Manager for Quelle. „We offer our customers an additional practical service which can be accessed via Cell phone, PDA or Pocket PC.“

.mobi is the official sTL-Domain (sponsored Top-Level-Domain). Optimized for mobile devices, .mobi domains guarantee the user a custom look and feel suitable for smaller mobile screen sizes. In addition, .mobi sites benefit from faster screen refresh rates thanks to the omission of fancy web site content such as frames and the use of XHTML-MP technology.

Since the beginning of November, the Quelle.de-Mobile-Shop has a new face: it is being portrayed in a brighter, more user friendly interface promoting faster, more intuitive navigation. Both quelle.de, their main corporate site, and the Mobile-Shop now share a common look and feel.

Previously, it was hard to visualize how a shopping site might look, but I think this really shows at least one way it can be done well. Cool!
