I find it interesting that army.org, for example, is parked with just PPC ads. Was parking dead by 2007? I did not check Wayback, but the sale seemed a bit suspicious to me.

The gdpr.org sale is a great price, but good luck trying to duplicate it!

GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation.
It's a new EU law that governs how European companies need to disclose to customers how they store & process their personally identifiable information. It addresses issues like whether the data is kept inside/outside of the EU and how customers can request their data be destroyed from the system.

Every IT department is scrambling to comply because their company could be fined up to 2% of their revenue for violations. Likely a software manufacturer or consulting firm purchased it to provide high-dollar value products/services to help their clients comply.
