question Gd appraisal tool ‘steals’ domain?

Normally I would use name.com to see if domain is available and check appraisal using godaddy appraisal tool. Today I found out one of the domains was registered when I tried to check price on humbleworth, and it was available just few days ago. Fwiw the domain is objectifyme.com.

Has anyone encountered such issues and is there any way to prevent this happening again? Thanks.

It could be coincidence or could be front running (google it). I only search for availability on dotdb, and if I use an appraisal tool, it is only after I have purchased (It doesnt influence my decision to purchase).

Thanks for the reply. I just checked on icann and it seems that way. Weird. I remember it was available on name.com before checking with godaddy. Maybe the former part was amiss.

Anyway I learned new things, I might also check domain availability next time with something else like terminal or icann. Thanks again!
