gastronomia.com owned by Microsoft ?

Hi,

I was looking for some gastronomy names and found out that gastronomia.com (the spanish for gastronomy.com) is owned by Microsoft Corporation.

Does anyone have a possible explanation on why they would want such a domain??? New O.S. after Vista is going to be Gastronomia??? :lol:

Microsoft & Google are in the domainer's biz. And, they got those domains knowing how much Hispanics love to eat good cooking :yell:

I have to admit that I’m someone who follows this kind of thing pretty closely and I’m altogether shocked that they own this but that’s not because it’s a Spanish name. They never (almost never) seem to own a domain name with a history and this name has one; having been cached (archive.org) for the first time on Oct 11, 1997. It’s obvious that this domain name was purchased but what reason would Redmond have to do this?
