Garmin Forerunner 405 OH YEAH

Ok When I was away on a business trip I purchased the Garmin 405 Forerunner for my wife who is training for her first marathon! She did her half marathon in amazing time and I was amazed. So I thought she needed something that will track her time, heart rate, speed, and anything else. This watch is AMAZING and does amazing things. As soon as she is done running she takes the watch up stairs puts it next to the computer and showers.

When she is done showering she looks at the monitor to look at her progress. It maps her run that she just did with the heart rate, speed, and how far she went. With in click of two buttons it is already googled mapped. When she first views the screen it is already mapped for her on the hills she ran if she did and everything else just no pictures LOL

If you are going to think about getting this watch do so you will be very happy!

There ya go. The 405 is not out yet as a full package but the watch is out there to get and just get the heart rate separate.

Yes it is a GPS but no geocaching.. geocaching looks pretty cool thought just read the site you sent...

we've had the 405 available for 3 weeks now, I tried it and played around with it for a while. (we get the whole package over here, watch + HRM) It's a great tool with GPS. The GPS option gives you the change to run against yourself or a virtual competitor.

That being said, I don't like the battery life of the 405. If you have gps enabled it lasts for 8 hours. If you use it as a regular watch it lasts for 2 weeks tops.

ThreeD, where can you get the whole package? Most sites I have visited only are doing back orders.. Tiger GPS only site that had the single green watch ready to ship..
