Hi-

Is it normal for a pending domain transfer to go from a status of "pending transfer" in the whois records, to "Active"?

I'm getting nervous. I'm wondering if the seller got cold feet and has denied the transfer request?

For the records, his registrar is enom, mine is godaddy...

Which part are you saying yup to? That it is normal, in the transfer process, or that he has probably gotten cold feet?

Oops, pardon I wasn't specific.

It's normal for the status to change to Active from pending transfer. That can
mean the transfer has been completed successfully or not, but the domain is
unlocked.

The registrar, be it the gaining one or losing one, can opt to lock it again.

Speaking of transfer, if you check the WHOIS records, is it with the gaining
registrar or the current one?

But if the whois records still show the "losing registrar" as the still current owner, with a status of "active", doesn't that mean the transfer was a failure?

That means the transfer wasn't successful.

Its back to "pending transfer". The seller just now changed the whois information in his Enom control panel, to my information. Somehow, this must have triggered the "pending transfer" status again. The thing is, we are not sure if things are hosed up now. Should he have changed the whois info prior my requesting the transfer?

I/we are not sure if we should just sit things out now, and see how things go, or if I should cancel and re-initiate the transfer request? Advise please???
