Cancelling a pending transfer

Having a blonde moment here.. Cancelling a transfer at a new registrar won't affect the current situation at the old registrar?

i.e domain is in grace since Aug 9 and registrar has 30 day grace period.. Therefore if I cancel pending transfer it will return to 'ok' unlock status?

Basically I have had second thoughts and just want to keep the domain at the 'old' registrar.

No it shpould be fine,
Also All registrars have a cancel pending at source registrar as well

Go to your Old registrars, check transfers, outgoing transfers and stop from there and nothing will happen.
If you can't find, talk to customer care and they will be happy to cancel the transfer on their end. AT the source/old registrar.
