Sold in an auction for CNY 3,001 in 2012, then sold for CNY 1,200,000 to the end user in 2015, during the short period of 3 years, the domain name FeiDai.com has been worth up for 400 times. Now FeiDai.com, the online loan website is established. Let’s have a look at the growing path of the domain name.

The domain name FeiDai.com was registered on 2007. The Pinyin “Fei” means “Fly” and “Dai” means “Loan” in Chinese. In 2012, the domain name was sold for merely CNY 3,000 at an auction. In June 2014, domain investor Benz-Xigua saw the ads of “Zhong Xing mirco-loan FeiDai” on the buses in Shenzhen. With his acute business sense, Benz-Xigua was sure that the domain name will be acquired by the end user one day, and he soon bought the domain name from the owner. In 2015, the domain name was wanted by Zhong Xing. After two round of negotiation, the domain name was dealt with CNY 1,200,000. FeiDai is an App providing users with convenient loan service. Now it has launched in Guanzhou, Shenzhen and Wuhan. From CNY 3,001 to CNY 1,200,000, the price of the domain name FeiDai.com rose dramatically during the past 3 years. Except the differences in the price, we can also see the significant importance of the business insight.

Investors with great business sense would be the winner in the domain name market. The investor Fengxinzi sold the domain name Lanfenqi.com, bought at CNY 600, to a company in Guanzhou for a five digits price. Now, many investors have learned to think like the end users and have paid more attention of double Pinyin and LLL.com domain names. Double Pinyin domain names are always popular with Chinese end users. Not long ago the domain name zhongjin.com was sold to an end user for more than a million CNY. Besides, Kaijia.com, Lishi.com and Xincheng.com are all sold to end users. Since the Pinyin domain names meet the habit of Chinese language, triple Pinyin domain names are also welcomed by the Chinese end users as they are friendly in the price. For the end users having a brand name of 3 characters, LLL.com domain names are also a good option if they were rich enough.

No matter double Pinyin domain names, LLL.com domain names or other strains of domain names, the investors shall think about the application and end users first. The value of the domain name is finally represented in the application of the websites. So the real valuable domain names are those will be employed by end users.

Cynthia-it will be interesting to see if pinyin-just like numerics-ends up stretching out to 3-4-or even 5 lengths as really great names dry up. We just bought paimaifangchan.com as an example Obviously it's very long but could be-in our opinion-exceptionally useful to the right end user in the real estate auction business-we'll see.
