FreeDNS.afraid.org and CPanel

Hi guys. Just found this site off Freewebspace.Net.

Anyway, I just started a little project, got myself some half decent shared hosting, got a small Wordpress blog installed and set up etc etc and the last thing I need to do is get myself a domain. I'm on a bit of a budget and have used http://freedns.afraid.org/ before so thought i'd give it a go and if my site takes off, i'll purchase a domain.

The problem is, i'm very new to web devolopment and have not got a clue about domains and settings. On freedns there a about 7 different times of subdomains, i don't know which one I need to use? I've mucked around with my Cpanel settings etc but just can't get it to work. So any help on how to register a domain (or sub) from http://freedns.afraid.org onto my site using cpanel (if its needed) I would be very very grateful.

Hi Hibs1875,

I would suggest you to buy a new domain name.
They are only a few $ a month.

There are many registars like: enom, moniker, godaddy etc...
You can connect the domain name easily to your cPanel hosting package
I am sure you host can help you with it.

Thanks for the response.

When I had some extra cash last week I tried to purchase a domian but all of the sites I tried wouldn't except my bankcard. The only way I could buy one is of a site that excepts PayPal.
