You can use your userid @myprivacy.ca in your domain whois records to reduce spam from whois mining and harvesters. Email from CIRA and participating ICANN registrars will get through to your myprivacy.ca address unimpeded, all others will be required to answer a tdma challenge first.

This challenge is not difficult, the end user merely has to reply to the message, but this should be enough to ensure a real person in on the other end and not a spambot.

You can use myprivacy.ca addresses in web pages, mailing lists or any other place where you want to protect your true email address against automated harvesters.

usefull if you want something straight forward and easy. on the other hand, indeed boxtrapper on a cpanel box will provide the same functionality.

I think its a worthwhile service. Nice idea. Boxtrapper sends a tdma to every email it recieves that is from a sender not on your white list. Unless you have a whitelist of all ICANN accredited registrars emails you can't use boxtrapper in the same manner.
