Has anyone heard of selling 'free' email accounts?
For example, you have the name [email protected] or [email protected] and you figure there might be some Steve's or Tom's who would pay to have their own first name on a gmail, hotmail, yahoo, or email.com account... you probably won't get a ton of cash unless you 'own' a great great one and can find a rich rich buyer who really really wants it...
But I wonder if it happens.

I also wonder if the freemail providers have a rule/law against it, and 'sales' have to happen 'underground'...

Anyone heard of this, or even can post a name/price they have seen documented?

Yeah, that's where I saw the guy trying to pawn off some Uber-crapola free email addresses, and it got me to wondering if people actually trade in good freemail addies :)

Yes, I've seen some guys trying to sell premium free emails on forums. Of course, nobody wanted to buy them. These guys should really get a job :)

We can also see this happening with other free services, like Facebook or Twitter custom urls.
