I understand that using hotmail, gmail etc is not advised when sending emails to end users. How would one go about setting up a personal email address without using your domain name? Is it advisable to use your actual real name and to create that as a domain name and then create an email out of that?
For example
johnsmith@xyx(i.e domainname).com - this is a domain name at the end with your name at the beginning
but I would rather have
admin(or whatever)@johnsmith.com here is my real name (not my actual real name) at the end and something I prefer and would mean registering my actual name as a domain name (provided its available of course)
Would that be ok and if you didn't want to register your own name in a domain are there any recommended providers that can set personal email addresses that you would advise to use (apart form the domain hosting provider)?
Thanks
