I was just curious as to peoples opinion on using frames? Do people like them or not? Persoanlly I think they are an irritation.

Frames are no good unless you really really need to use them for an application of some sort, there are much better methods now the frames. Bad for SEO too unless done right, just adds to the headache of webmasterdom I say.

Frames just bring a whole bunch of problems, from search engine results to usability by web users. If you absolutely need to use a frame, I would go with an IFRAME instead.

Or use div tags. You can make them act like an iframe but without using a separate page for the content.

thing with using divs i noticed is you they dont respond to the mouse wheel, this is very iritating

Yeah, I've noticed the same, especially when trying to copy and paste text within them, for instance. I wonder if this is strictly a browser bug or what...

Besides all the above issues I also just hate things being stuck to my browser window. Very distracting IMHO
