Interesting how LLLL.com and NNNN.com are all hand registered. But what about the remaining combinations, how long until all those are gone too?

If you combine them there are 27 letters and 10 numbers,

37 X 37 X 37 X37 = 1,874,161

We know that there are 531,441 LLLL and 10000 NNNN taken.

1,874,161(total) - 531,441(LLLL) - 10000(NNNN) = 1,332,720 possible L & N four character combinations. Sounds like quite a bit, but considering how fast all the number domains went, it's possible that the remaining 4 character .com's could be gone in a couple months.

Thoughts out there?

Whoa, my bad. that calculation is wrong and I can't even change it. Suppose to be 26 not 27 characters. Let me redo the numbers

36 X 36 X 36 X 36 = 1,679,616

We know that there are 456,976 LLLL and 10000 NNNN taken.

1,679,616 - 456,976 - 10000 = 1,212,640 Total left that are not LLLL or NNNN

Seems like a lot, but given that people are registering 10 to 1000 at a time, the numbers will drop fast.

I thought LLLL.COM were all gone a long time ago, bar from the occasional dropping domain.

So did I. If not, PLEASE provide a list. I would love to get 1 or 2 in my portfolio. I have none.

I think you guys both missed what I was going for. I meant to say other 4 XXXX combinations of mixed numbers and letters remaining, not just LLLL or NNNN.

Example, LNLN, NLNL, NNLL,LLNN, LLLN,NNNL. How many of these .com's are left.

Ok. thank you. I was misreading.

All chip llll, nnnn, llnn, nnll, lnnn, nnnl are registered. Repeating patterns or 4characters with 88s also seem to be gone.

If you take out non chips theres only 28x28x28x28 or 614,656 without a,e,i,o,u,v,0,4.

160,000 for llll
51,200 for llnn / nnll
20,480 for lnnn / nnnl
4,096 for nnnn
~4k for lnnl
320 for 88s for nnln / nlnn
320 for lnln / nlnl repeats

I havent done or seen scans for any other 4 character cominations.

Thats roughly 240,000 of 614,656 or 39% so i would imagine 40some% are gone

I'd be curious as well to see whats left for the rest as well.

KWO, thanks for the awesome information. I sure hope that all combinations are gone by the end of the year.

If everything XXXX.com gets registered, that will light a big flame under the 5L's. But this category will take forever to fully reg. 36 X 36 X 36 X 36 X36 = just under 60.5 million combinations.

I picked up some LLLN.net and NLLL.net triple repeaters. Patterns seem to be the popular thing.

I also wanted to add to that list. There are only 520 LLLN & NLLL that have triple repeater letters, eg: EEE0. Same goes for NNNL & LNNN.

As well we forgot about hyphens, but those will be bought dead last and not sure if people will acquire them anyway.

Going back to my first post on this thread, technically I was correct because I forgot the hyphen.

26 letters in the alphabet
10 numbers
- hyphen

37 X 37 X 37 X37 = 1,874,161 is absolute total combinations that can be done in 4 length domains. Doesn't seem like a lot because I bet half over a million are registered right now, maybe even closer to 1.5 million.

Here's numbers from the patterns. Based a couple of estimates I'd guess around 60% of Chinese premium 4 characters are taken. So only ~240,000 remain. LLLN, NLLL, NNLN, NLNN and LNNL seem to be the patterns closest to buyouts.

Pattern % Registered
LLLL 100%
LLNN 100%
NNLL 100%
LNNL 21%
NLLN 10%
NNNL 100%
LNNN 100%
NNLN 32%
NLNN 34%
NNNN 100%

Estimates
LLLN ~65%
NLLL ~52%
LNLN ~20%
NLNL ~20%
LLNL ~20%
LNLL ~20%

If you include hyphens, there are 1774224 "4 character" domains with 1307248 not following the LLLL or NNNN pattern.

Total = 36 x 37 x 37 x36

(Numbers, Letters, Hyphen - [middle only])

I calculated ~51% of the 4 character .com domains are registered. There is around 875336 to go.

I don't mean to derail the thread, but does someone know how many NN-NN.com are left?

I think all 4 chars domains will be gone when the perceived value of the remaining ones are above reg fee, which is not currently the case right now.

Just ask yourself if your would buy 100 of those domains at this moment, and if the answer is no, maybe the average domainer will think the same.

Yes here, CCCC.com will be bought out within 2 years imo

Based on the definition of Chinese CCCC.com not including 0,4,a,e,i,o,u,v

~59% of Chinese CCCC.com are registered (Ignoring hyphens)
~44% of Chinese CCCC.com are registered (Ignoring hyphens, LLLL.com, NNNN.com)
~254,000 of Chinese CCCC.com are unregistered (Ignoring hyphens)
~29% of remaining CCCC.com are chinese

038824.com (no offense to owner) XXX$
or
88-Q.com (reg fee)

Which makes more sense?

(Note : not bashing 6N, just think the latter is undervalued)

I agree, I'm surprised to see a few numbers going up 8 characters getting sold at low $xxx and a floor of $4-500 for poor 3 characters like k4j.com when there's still similar 4 characters for reg fee.

k4j.com $450 or 10100606.com for $113 or rnbgw.com for $194 or kjzv.com $314 vs kjz6.com for regfee.

Only a matter of time before the 4 character regfee domains are properly valued vs the other domains and they go above regfee. Already starting to happen with LLNN/NNLL NNNL/LNNN

It's been a while since someone posted here. Any status report as to when all the CCCC.com will be gone? There has to be less than 1 million out of possible 1.875 million

I think LLNN and NNLL are almost gone, then LNNN, NLLL, NLNL, LNLN, LLNL, NNLN are all starting to get picked at. Only thing left after that is hyphens.
