I just saw on Sedo's homepage that Fly.com sold for 1.60MM

That name was sold last Feb. for 1.76MM (as reported on DNjournal)

All things considered, it's a pretty good resale. Sometimes taking a loss is the right thing to do, especially if you need or can make better use of the money.

absolutely... the opportunity cost of not having those funds available to buy a huge portfolio of quality dotmobi at the bottom of this market cycle... and still have $1.5 million in change to buy some decent real estate at the bottom of that market cycle!
Just stay away from bank shares! :lol:

Thats what surprised me about this posting. I thought an end-user picked this up. Why would they resale? they are the perfect company to own this domain name.

Yes and it would definitely be cheaper than Sedo on a transaction of this size.

1.60MM plus a 10% buyers fee would come to 1.76MM. I am going with the reporting of the old sale theory.

What do you guys think about this reselling price? I think it could have been higher. Besides being a premium name, it's also a very short one, which I think adds even more value to it, than many superpremium but longer names.
