First time I see this

Once you realize that in order to see appraisals one must submit an appraisals, you realize that the entire thing is one big pile of crap.

Flippa is a great service, but when they start with their desperate moves they turn something with good potential into a heap of sh*t.

I would pay 0 attention to anything there given people are forcefully writing anything to see what others appraised names for.

In addition they have a contest as to who can appraise the most domains lol, this is the stupidest thing iv'e seen in a very long time.

The problem is that they have introduced 'rewards' for appraising, so you get a lot of appraisers giving values that really mean absolutely nothing. I see that some 'appraisers' are now doing 300+ 'appraisals' a week - ridiculous in the extreme. I doubt if such 'appraisers' actually have any idea of the value of domains except their own portfolio, which of course is in their opinion no doubt full of extremely valuable domains.

Seriously, it is just a gimmick. If any domainer wants an appraisal then they should post for such on here or the 'other' forum, then you will get honest appraisals from domainers whom you can check out to see what their specialities are.

Just my opinion of course.

Research has shown that more opinions gathered leads to more accurate valuations.
The problem with Flippa, is you have people with no knowledge, and people who dont even care, giving appraisals.
Together, they said MoneyMakers.com is worth $1,500.

One "appraiser" (domainzers) gave a $1 valuation with this comment:
Have no idea how much would it worth, but it should worth a good value.
Which was worse than saying nothing.

I would value it somewhere in low to mid $xx,xxx (end user).

The only accurate appraisals are the ones accompanied by cash.
