Did anyone else get one of these? Asking you to relist a name that didn't sell and if you do you will get 99 free credits!?

However, the one thing I'm curious about is this line..

"You can use these credits on an upgrade of your choice."

Does anyone know for certain if it can only be used for an upgrade!? Like it can't be used to list 11 more names?

I grabbed it, but the auction I relisted only got live yesterday.. But I will use these on upgrades for a different auction in my opinion.

It is worth it in any case. If you aren't sure if the auction you are relisting will sell, just set a good reserve price and if it doesn't sell no harm done..

Still gotta pay the normal $9 listing fee though don't you!?

Was it worth it? Did you manage to sell the name (or is it still in auction)?
Yes I sold the name. It was hyphenated as well ;)

Yes I just got the credits yesterday.
Spent only 5$ to relist my domain and got 99 credits.
Pretty neat I would say ....

I just checked , yes you can use the credits as you wish not only for upgrades .

just my two cents... A little bit out of subject but its all the same... information deficit at Flippa. They need to be a little bit more clear and specific on their rules and how exactly you get their credits, or freebies, and how exactly you can use them. For instance in domain appraisal section it say appraise 15 domains or more and qualify for free listing capped at one per week... and there is no where its explained. So.. you go and appraise 15 or more... and you wont get it... because you also need to be the top appraisal of the week..

The promo was just released yesterday, and your auction ended 4 days ago.

And to answer your question definitively, yes you can use the credits to list a domain. I did.

Actually no.. Relisting is free if your auction was not successful last time. So didn't spend anything and got $99 for free..

Did you try to relist a failed auction? Because I didn't pay anything yesterday when I grabbed this offer :)

You are wrong , you will get 9 credits if you will apprise 15 domains. There is no requirement to be the top appraisal. When they started giving a free listing for 15 domains you appraised , people started appraising domain endlessly resulting in all free listings only so they came up with a plan to restrict user with 1 listing a week.

Free listing credits are given every Wednesday.

The only thing I am not sure about is that if we appraise 30 domains , do we get 2 free listings or its just 1 only to whatever number of domains you appraise with min # of 15.

They automatically deduct from an existing credit balance. Maybe that's what happened?
Otherwise, an even better deal for you.

Just tried it out. Paid $5 to relist an auction that didn't sell. The 99 credits showed up instantly, will use that to start 11 basic auctions for free.

"Credits can be used just like money for creating auction or private sale listings and/or for purchasing upgrades. They are no longer able to be used to pay success fees."

Does this apply to auctions started after this promo started? I've listed 1 domain ever on this site; it was sold via Godaddy awhile after, thus I no longer have the domain and it can't be relisted. If I listed a domain now that winds up not selling, do you think I could apply for this deal?

EDIT: I listed one just now. Last I used Flippa, they charge $19 a listing. I go one on for $9. So I figured I'd try it again.

And of course, perhaps you still have the advantage, as a Seller in a Flippa auction, of Flippa's employees helping drive up prices by participating in the auction for the name you are selling! Hey, you can't beat that! Too bad the clueless buyers/outside bidders might not know about that cheezy practice 'cause perhaps they didn't read question and answer #6 in this interview with Flippa's CEO: http://tldinvestors.com/2012/11/quick-chat-with-david-slutzkin-ceo-flippa.html

Anyway, you enjoy your "Seller's advantage" at Flippa, while those "in the know" wonder if you also kick your dog when you get home from a frustrating day at work.
