Sorry for delay.
I need to go to the bank (and I lost 1:30h of my life there).
I am not only in this forum. If you think you are so special because you have 1K+ posts, I respect your opinion, but I think forums are not made only for this, but to build knowledge. And I think some people are not here for this reason. They buy a domain for $10 and after 6 months think because they are the owners they will sell for $69K .
It is a BIG illusion. So, like some described here: "move on". I will be here to see if you are so much special to SELL this special domain for a price like that. Specially when you have at least 20 options of others domains in THE SAME NICHE with the SAME NAME (fitnessgirl.XXX) for $8.
And a domain that is not good in SEO (not optimized - if you can understand).
I will try to reply who I think tried to contribute:
It’s a good name. I think you are just irritated you didn’t obtain the name when it was $1 K like that guy did.
I think you (and some others) did not understand yet. If this domain costs US$ 500 I WILL NOT buy it.
So, the reason I post it was because it looks like A LOT strange to me that someone could try to post (
www.fitnessgirl.com) that he wanted to sell it for a price like that.
Thank you for triggering so many people with this thread
@DragonDF; good read and I learned some things whilst having diner. Cheers
I hope you learned more than me. Because I'd like to see some professional replies and not so many kids (who live to sell domains) irritated because I asked about one domain that they are not the owners.
Looks like he's using the "buy low, sell high" strategy, which is quite common among domainers.
Yes, I agree with you.
But from $777 to $69,000 ?
It's a great workout brand, or ftiness product brand. He gave you the I don't want to sell it price, if you are launching a brand that is the cost of doing business. I think he would probably take $25K if you put that kind of money in front of him, with a short acceptance window.
I think he would sell if for $1k or a bit more. Sure, not now. After a few months if he did not receive any better offer.
I continue to think: if you have so many others options (fitnessgirl.SOMEOTHERS) why will you buy a .com domain that was used to 'adult' and it is blocked in some many corporative firewalls. There is no logic to me.
price is not that far off if you see comparable auction sales:
fitnessguru.com 45,000 USD 2012-05-23 Afternic

You see a diamond ring in a jewelry store priced for $69,000 - you either have a choice to buy it or buy a cheaper smaller diamond ring. Both are marked up 10,000% - you decide what's in your budget. diamonds have no real value other than the fact they are kept artificially scarce and rare. Domain names are one of a kind - hence makes them rare too.
I think you are comparing different things. Each diamond has a specific value for some reasons. It is not just "because I want". Or "I bought for $777 and now I want to sell for $69,000 because I am the owner".
Why dont you ask the owner what he is trying to do, instead of people on a forum? The owner is the only person who can MAYBE make you understand what he's trying to do. You do not have to agree with what he's trying to do, but you should be able to understand what he's trying to do after he explains it.
Yes. Its called capitalism. Dont like it - dont play the game.
Come on. Do you really not understand?
Bottom line: if you do not see the value of $69K in that domain then you are not the buyer. Move along.
I should have purchased bitcoin when it was $2 but now its $15K. I do not see the value in it right now so I am leaving it alone, I am not whining about it.
I asked. He has not replied yet.
And no, he is not the only person.
I imagined when you are in a market you can try to understand how things happen.
So, when you post in a forum that people are (or you imagine they are) specialist in buying and selling domains.. you will receive a good knowledge about this niche.
"I am not whining about it".
Yes you are.
The difference between me and you is: I do not (and I will not) buy this domain. But you continue thinking about why you did not buy the bitcoin some time ago.
If we are talking about the speculative market, there is a BIG difference between currencies (albeit virtual) and products (albeit virtual).
So comparing one thing with another with the idea of suggesting that it is the same thing shows little financial experience on your part.
BitCoin has not become expensive overnight. He grew up gradually.
This "domain-bitcoin" (fitnessgirl.com) is trying to be MUCH better than BITCOIN, and to grow in months what Bitcoin has taken MUCH more to achieve.
I respect your opinion, but I think different than you.
