Hello guys!

I'd like to know what makes this domain (fitnessgirl.com) so especial that his actual owner thinks it costs $ 69K .
It was $1K one or two years ago.
And I thought it was expensive.
This domain have been used in adult promotion. So, it has not a serious value if you will use for something 'corrrect'.

Is there any way to buy domains in a REAL price? Or the owner can insert the price he thinks it values and you need to wait?

Tks!

Your whining salty.
2 word .coms especially this one, is an awesome name. History irrelevant.
Great brand for womens gym
It his, he can do what he wants and we are doing this to make money
Wouldnt suprise me if it sold for 50k
Have you made any offers? Maybe he take 1k
Otherwise move on
Also, welcome to domaining

Sure he can ask 100K but sure it will not be sold.

You must be new to domaining – it might be possible with the right end-user.

I have checked how many .coms are registered with include the term "fitnessgirl" - seems that there are 116, plus over 30 with included numbers. If some of them are developed this domain would be a perfect upgrade for them. 69K seems a lot but for the right enduser it could be worth even more, imo.

A domain doesnt have to be present in google search results for it to be valuable, theres alot of valuable names which are just parked or point to forsale pages, which will have no presence in search engines whatsoever

Who the hell cares how much the owner asks for his own domain? Screw SEO, SMO and other crazy words promoted by spammers. It's a domain and is worth what the buyer will eventually pay for it, either 1k or 100k. It's really not your problem and crying here is the shittiest way to appraise that domain.

If dude wants to sell it for 69k (or even 690k), he has every right to do so. You don't have to buy it. To be honest, you sound kind of salty. Move on to another domain if you're not willing to purchase it at that price. On a side note, I find it humorously ironic that he's selling it for 69k when it used to be a porn domain.

If I don't want to sell something, I either don't put it for sale or I price it very high. Either way, it's my choice. If I wonder why my domains aren't selling, then I am at fault for pricing them too high. My point is, it's his/her domain to price the way they want.

What is expensive to one person can be a bargain to someone else. A domain is worth how big the idea behind it is and FitnessGirl is brandable, I don't know about 69K but low 5 figs wouldn't be crazy to ask for it imo. And 1K a couple years ago would've been a bargain if I wanted to develop it IMO.

In fact what some users (not polite and like the other said.. "Your whining salty') do not help in anything here.
I WILL NOT BUY THIS S**** OF DOMAIN.
I am not crying.
I do not LIVE TO BUY AND SELL DOMAIN. For this reason I came here. Because I imagined I could read professional people talking about professional experiense. It was not what happened in 50% of the time.

Some user with opinions of people who buy a domain for US$ 8 and want to sell it for $1000 after 1 year and want to attack anyone who opposes them.

I have looked for this name some time ago and for this reason I know it has been use to redirect to ADULT sites.

And about:

I do not know if you are inside an private network. It you are you can not visit this website. It will bring that it was blocked by firewall because it is an ADULT domain.

So, this is something bad when we are talking about TRAFFIC.

In my mind, it is MUCH BETTER to start with a new domain (no bad history) and make it happens inside SEARCH ENGINES. :)

And the revolted members: if you want you can buy it too. For $1K or $69K. I do not mind.

I am here to UNDERSTAND (as a professional) how this could happened.

Tks for who that tried to help.
As a health writer, I can say for sure that fitness and health is a niche dominated by females. Guys aren't into fitness, they're into muscle building, which is technically the same but vastly different. Guys want to be macho, not just fit -- and seldom do they care about their general wellness.

That's why I would probably value fitnessgirl at 30-40k, but obviously the seller is using psychology where he asks for more while hoping to really negotiate down to that amount,

If you're into the health niche, you'd realize how insanely brand able fitness girl is.

Btw why u so angry?
:-P

I'm sure that this fitness girl earned more than 69K :xf.smile:

It’s a good name. I think you are just irritated you didn’t obtain the name when it was $1 K like that guy did.

I love the name...as a domainer I would pay as much as 1 thousand but if I were to sell it I would ask 25 and take 20...highly brandable despite any questionable prior content.

Not all domain owner's know the history behind all their domain's.

Not all domain owner's consider the history when pricing their domain.

Sometimes, domainers try to understand how a mediocre name actually sells for $69k. And part of the answer, is because the seller had the 🥜 to ask for that amount. If you don't ask, you will not receive.

Guys, I respect your opinion.

But a price (in my mind) for something needs to have a 'value' involved. And this domain HAS NOT.

1. Yes, I contact him. And he replied me: $ 69,000 .

2. For you who think that this domain can value $69K (or 1K) I will show this is not real:
2.1 - a domain that was used for a long time as a PORN website or redirect for one.
2.2 - there is no GOOD TRAFFIC STATISTICs about it:

https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/fitnessgirl.com

We don't have enough data to rank this website.
If this is your website, sign up and get certified to get direct measurements of your site's traffic.

3. You can buy another FITNESSGIRL.SOMETHING for $7-15
As I explained before, if you go to GOOGLE and type "fitnessgirl" (yes, the best way to find it.. two words together) you WILL NOT SEE this domain in the first 10 (TEN) pages OF the results.

Yes, I know that the domain can start now and as a 'good name' it can bring something good after a time. But If needed to do it, I would prefer to pay $7 in a new and not porn-history domain.

My 2 cents.

Stop playing games... it has no value SO WHY DO YOU WANT TO BUY IT? I mean, why would anyone want to buy something that has no value or even offer $1,000? You should move on!

Want to mention that in 2012 someone attempted to register Fitness Girl as a trademark. Obviously there is some value behind this term.

REGISTRATION DATE TRADEMARK SPECIFICATION CLASS STATUS/STATUS DATE
FITNESS GIRL Clothing, Namely, Tank-tops, T-shirts, Tops, Bottoms, Jackets, Shorts, Sports Bra 25 (Clothing, Footwear and Headgear) ABANDONED-FAILURE TO RESPOND OR LATE RESPONSE

The girls fitness sector is becoming a massive industry.

Not only do you have girl only gyms, but girl fitness instructors, or girls vlogging about fitness tips/recipes etc makes a lot of coin.

It's irrelevant how much someone pays for a domain. Lots of good domains are picked up on the drop by domainer that they manage to sell for a lot more.

If I picked up a good crypto domain for low $x,xxx on a drop. I would probably price it at $xx,xxx range because crypto is a hot property right now.

Remember .com is called king for a reason. Yes you can register other extensions but that's not always the most professional identity that a end user might be after.

Domainer are not in this business to buy a domain for $8 and to sell it for $8. The beauty is trying to find names that you think you can make a good profit on.

Piano Online (.com) sold for $30,000 recently. Would of I paid that? No

But obviously it was worth that price to someone.

Why to buy a domain for $1K if you can buy another .SOMETHING for $7 ?

Are you serious?

It is an abuse to ask 69K for a domain. Sure it will not be sold.

Are you a kind of reseller of domains? Why do you think this price is correct?

So you refused to buy the name for 1k, because you can buy another for $7?

So why didn't you buy another for $7? Why come a year later complaining about the much higher price?

Your problem is obviously not the 69K(though that's high-I'll admit). You just think because you can handreg domains for $7... That means every domain should be for $7?

You need to study the domain industry from the beginning.

Lastly, if this is a domain name you wanted for your brand or business, then you don't deserve it one bit. If you could sacrifice 1k for your own business or negotiate from 1k then your business is worthless to say the least. Even when i was broke, I said I would pay good money for a name i really wanted. I would save, negotiate and do what it took. Invest in yourself and stop looking for everything at handreg price.

You want endusers topay x,xxx+ but you as an enduser can't pay over $7

Your posts show a lack of understanding of the value of domains. You’re best off just getting some hand registered garbage if you cannot see the value in a premium domain.

Whether it’s worth $69k isn’t the point but your posts seem to be insisting that no domain absent huge search statistics could be worth much and that’s not the case.

You see a diamond ring in a jewelry store priced for $69,000 - you either have a choice to buy it or buy a cheaper smaller diamond ring. Both are marked up 10,000% - you decide what's in your budget. diamonds have no real value other than the fact they are kept artificially scarce and rare. Domain names are one of a kind - hence makes them rare too.

It's a great workout brand, or ftiness product brand. He gave you the I don't want to sell it price, if you are launching a brand that is the cost of doing business. I think he would probably take $25K if you put that kind of money in front of him, with a short acceptance window.

...............I asked something and I am trying to understand what the owner is trying to do.

Why dont you ask the owner what he is trying to do, instead of people on a forum? The owner is the only person who can MAYBE make you understand what he's trying to do. You do not have to agree with what he's trying to do, but you should be able to understand what he's trying to do after he explains it.

He bought something for $777 and is trying to sell for U$ 69K.

Yes. Its called capitalism. Dont like it - dont play the game.

Come on. Do you really not understand?

Bottom line: if you do not see the value of $69K in that domain then you are not the buyer. Move along.

I should have purchased bitcoin when it was $2 but now its $15K. I do not see the value in it right now so I am leaving it alone, I am not whining about it.
