First submission of new site?

i use to use
google , yahoo,man manual submission
and then
submitxpress.com's submission to some free engines
exaxtseek.com

guys i have a feeling the last two some how making my listing at google look bad

any recommendations that i Start with the newlsy fresh site of mine

just added to google and msn manually

whats the yahoo submit link and also what site or enignes u recommend most for a good listing result in google

no need to submit to any of the search engines anymore
all the best ones will find your site thru directories and other links
start with submitting to free general directories and some niche ones
i would hold off on a dmoz listing for a new site.. it will most likely give you a better chance of getting an editor to accept it

read up on seo forums such as highrankings.com
and add http://www.isedb.com to your favorites to get a good dirtectory list
they also have seo articles and a totally spamfree newsletter with links to the newly added directories (sent once a week)

Just like parked.com said you don't have to submit anymore. Get links to your web site and it will get picked up by search engines.

create a blog then add to your myyahoo & mymsn for fast indexing of your new sites..or you can also try sitemaps, it really works.

the trick to dmoz is to wait until your website is full with content pages
pretty much fully developed. offer things that websites in the same category as yours dont! editors are very selective these days
you will need a very well written description and title.. no spelling errors no promotional text and ive even had sites rejected due to the description not having a fullstop!!

ive given up on dmoz
its not really needed these days, i believe its very overrated

what i do is go to google.com and type in free url submission and submit it and it ends up on google,yahoo, etc in a couple of weeks.
