Several of the people involved in the Sedo 3 .mobi Premium Auction have now publicly disclosed that they have settled their situation with dotmobi, and the domains involved.
Since the outcome of my discussions is now on the WHOIS Public Record, I feel I can now disclose elements of my own settlement.
In the interests of disclosure, and an informed market, I'm delighted to announce that dotmobi & I have come to a full & final settlement of our dispute arising from the Sedo 3 .mobi Premium Auction of Dec 5 2007.
I relinquished all claims to:
Sport.mobi
Fashion.mobi
that I had won in the '1st' auction of Dec 5 2007....
Plus, I paid dotmobi an agreed sum of money (Forgive me, folks, but I can't disclose the amount due to a confidentiality clause in the Agreement).
In return - in full and final settlement - I have accepted the domain:
Finance.mobi
This domain is now in my possession.

I really want to recognise some people...
I'd like to thank the many, many people that offered me counsel and unflagging support during a tough, and difficult, situation (you know who you are).
I'd like to especially thank Costa, and pcaero, and HipHop.mobi and hanogl (you guys know why).
I'd like to thank PVFarkas, for his enduring support, the doors he opened for me, and legal guidance, throughout the process.
I'd like to thank Caroline Greer, of dotmobi, for her cooperation, and grace, under very difficult circumstances, during the process that led to resolution.
Finally, I'd like to express my real regret that it all had to happen at all....I live in hope that - out of this mess - some good things may come:
(i) Perhaps the online auction system is now on notice that it must be conducted much more carefully in the future - and, with systems that are sufficiently robust - to protect both bidders and sellers.
(ii) Perhaps, if there IS ever a 'tech problem' again in an online auction, then much more careful consideration will be now given - at the outset - to the investor/bidders in the situation
(iii) Perhaps, through this struggle, there is now an even greater depth of understanding, respect, and awareness, of the very real, mutually inter-dependent, nature of the relationship between Registry and Investor/Developer in building the .mobi brand - on both sides....Both elements are of equal importance in the equation.
Its morning again....The sun shines....We have a brand to build....And, its develop, develop, develop, as someone described it the other day...
