It depends what your intentions are for the domain.

At the moment i only buy and invest in short brandable .coms (4,5,6 letter), because most of my success was with these type of names recently.
Plus i personally believe these will go up in price much more than keyword domains (they had their peak already and most sellers expect unrealistic prices even though the market for these type of names is going downwards and google is destroying most of EMD domains slowly but surely.. IMO)

Catchy Brandable and two word with meaning has worked for me as of late. Domainers have been scared off for a while , And it goes right up the ladder to the end-user.

There is a lot of talk about "EMD" , I think it will cease when Parking is wiped out. , You can hardly search a exact term anymore without hitting a lander. If you have exact match domains with good content relevant to the name I don't really see the problem.

Guess for me it really depends on what I am looking to do really. I mean am I looking to park it, buy to sell, develop. Many factors come to play but what factors are dependable on what I am looking to do really.
