You monitor your thread? lol. That's funny... the pressure to stay on top of things must be unbearable! Having to thank the left, the right, the liberals, the conservatives, and the socialist Europeans...lol
I rather hoped that thread would be a black field for politics but it seems that we want to pollute all threads with little bits here and there...
As for Facebook? I hope that everyone and every institution holds their shares long term so that all the people trying to profit from their shorts get caught with their pants down... I'm not sure why trying to do nothing but profit from an IPO is worse than trying to do nothing but profit from a loss in share price but that seems the standard view.
Whatever happened to the talk of long term investing and fundamentals? lol
Well, I just got in and I have had one too many sots of tequila (Corralejo Blanco the greatest tequila in the world) tonight so forgive me if I go off a little bit, but I see your post was entertaining.
Monitoring is no pressure, you dont have to be a wise guy about it.
I try to participate in this forum and the threads I start by reading all the post just like you and at the same time try and make a living during the day.
First their was a complaint I wasn't doing my job thanking everyone with my thread then your thanks stopped at "Shoot the Sh.." thread so maybe their is some pressure, who knows.
If you want a blank field thread for politics (dont know what a black field is) then start one, their is always room for more.
And as far as long term investing and fundamentals go I made it clear early on that FB fundamentals suck for the market cap they had. Anyone who's investing long term from the IPO or the high is down by 40% to 50% now.
If they hold long term maybe they will break even someday but I doubt they will see any profit since I dont see FB having a market cap of $100 million or more anytime soon.
Try and tell those who bought two months ago that their are in it for the long term and how things will be ok someday.
FB is now a daytrdaer stock and will be for a while. Long term is a big risk at this point.
I say FB will see $15 a share before the next earnings date.
I have been right so far.
