Expected click rates?

I couldn't find a recent answer for this question. Lots of ppl here talk about $ per click. I just need to know what is the click rate?

I am creating a way to drive focused users to a parked page. I'm hoping to get at least 500/day to land on the page. But once on the page, how many of those 500 will click if all the keywords are exactly on topic the user came for?

There is no simple answer because there are many factors involved. If your parking page is ugly, less people will click. If they come to your page expecting one thing and find another, they may leave without clicking, even if your page is on the topic of what they are looking for.

If you have a parking page that is well optimized for what the topic is, you may get an average click rate of 1%-3%. Then again you could get 0% or something like 50%.

Now keep in mind that most parking providers do NOT allow you to drive traffic to their parking pages. And if you create your own parking page many network ad providers may also not allow it.

Make sure that the method you are thinking about will work with the ad provider and you should do ok. And if you come up with something that works well there are many here who would like to know about it...!

I never thought that I would not be allowed to drive traffic to a parked page. I plan to provide something like a desktop app with a "more related products" button, and then load the parked page containing exactly what I told them was coming: "more related products" (via links). I could even label the button "Links to more related products"

Click fraud and poor quality traffic are serious problems and I only know of 2 parking services that will let you get links to parked pages. What you are thinking about may be allowed, but I would check with your provider first.

Your idea sounds good and could be great if your apps are popular.
