Even Domain Swap Transactions

So there's a possibility that I may be doing an even trade of a few domains with another domain holder in the near future. However, seeing that there will not be any money exchanging hands and that I don't normally entertain domain swaps, are there any suggestions out there how I can do this without being ripped off/scammed? How would one do a domain swap without being able to use escrow?

I have not used ecop.com before, but I noticed they have a swap service for $20/domain

Not sure, but in my case it wasn't a swap offer initially. I actually suggested it to this particular company after I told them that their asking price is too high for a particular domain.
