Sorry for another .EU question, but I searched and could not find...there are actually a couple questions...

When pre-registration is over will .EU domains be open to the general public or still just those with a European Union mailling adress?

When WILL pre-registrations be over?

I have a friend who lives in the EU, should I have him preregister some names for me if I REALLY want them? Are the pre-registration offers legit or no?

why do you want .eu domains they arent as popular as .com .net .org and may be .info , i would recommend you to get .com .net or .org

How can you state .eu isnt as popular as .info etc. It hasnt even been launched yet?

.eu will be very popular after .com .net and .org. It will be a very key extension across europe.

Lots of money to be made. You can pre-reg for a domain now at www.netnames.com and many other places. They will try and obtain it for you when the domains are out for public release in Q1/2 2006. They dont guarantee you will get the domain though.

i dont know how strict the policy on non europeans registering domains will be, its like .us i know loads of people outside the us who have registered them

Just took a chance and visited nic.eu and from what I understand from their page they've accredited (is that a word?) registrars, but the sunrise period haven't started yet... Correct me if I'm wrong...
