.EU made megabucks for some registrars

Lots of registrars took.eu landrush pre-registrations for a fee up front which in many cases was not refunded in case of unsuccessful registration or only a small part was refunded. What made this practise even more dubious was the fact that some of these registrars took as many pre-reservations on the same name as they received. Thus for instance 6 different individuals would apply for a particular name without knowing that another 5 persons had also pre-registered that same name with the same registrar.The registrar got paid 6 times for pre-regging one name and perhaps not one of those 6 individuals even got the name. There were some registrars who played fair and would only take one pre-reg on a name. But the majority were only interested in making quick bucks.

Well, that teaches those who fell for it a lesson. Always stay with a credible registrar.

I can only agree with that since after 1 month i'm still trying to get refunds for the domains i tried to get with Goddady. They charged me and i didn't get any of these domains.

I have recieved a refund for some of my domains that i pre-regged with them and some i still have not been refunded.

These that have not been refunded yet are the ones that are pending application.
And this 4th landrush will start in 2 month or so.

If the domains that i have aplied for are not been succesfully registered on my name i will get a refund for them.

The ones that i have recieved a refund for where registered and not in the application procedure.

Problem is ... i don't have any domain in pending mode.
I really didn't get any of the domains and i don't know why but i didn't get a full refund. Seems like they don't really want answer my emails on this issue. Oh, well... Godaddy, never again.

We got our refunds from GoDaddy and some .eu's. Call them, rather than email. I found that they do have good customer service.

GoDaddy are telling me that some names I pre-regged with them are pending application, but according to a Eurid whois they were registered at landrush 1. Still haven't heard back from their support.
