Hi, http://estibot.com/results.php?domain=animecinema.net values my domain, animecinema.net at $790? I started the website a few days after the beginning of this month? How realistic is this appraisal? Should I expect to be able to sell it for this price, +/- $200 (more - than +).

Thanks

.US domains.US domains
I use estibot as an indication.
Sometimes fair value may be estibot value/10 for non high value domains.
I suppose that it's much more accurate for high value domains

i would say that its worth much less than half of its appraised value, although it's not a bad name to have. also keep in mind that its .com counterpart is currently parked.

It's indicator, we cannot use it as all-in-one appraisal tool. Human sense plays too. :)

Never trust an appraisal tools appraisal for actuall value, but it is sometimes usefull for an indicator. shame it wasnt the .com or youd be looking at mid to high $xxx.

You should be able to get low $xxx though as anime domains are very popular just now.

Personally, I use estibot "for entertainment purposes only".

Estibot is the BEST automated appraisal system out there.

However, only use it as an indicator. AND a comparison between domains (you can put 2 domains in there and see what would be theoretically worth more)

I think usually the prices estibot gives are slightly too high, and sometimes dead on, rarely is it under (but then again, which appraisal system gives underappraisals?)

Overall, great tool and I use it all the time

It's hard to complain about that as I registered the domain at the beginning of the month. Is that appraisal based also on traffic?

Thanks everyone so far.

I would use estibot.com with namebio.com and the sales history to compare alike names sales. Estibot.com compiles numbers to calculate a value. One of the numbers used by estibot is the namebio's sales history. Estibot also uses OVT scores or typ-in search frequency (keywords) , Ad value bids, Age and history of name (alexa) and I think pronouncability..... etc.

Keywords (Autodetected)
Frequency (MSN)
Backlinks 0
Alexa Rank
Traffic (uniques) / Day
PPC Ads Score 0
Overture/mo 0
Wordtracker/day 0

So the choice of "track record" and "predict ability" is what you are looking at.
Estibot is a great tool for looking at the consensus of a multitude of factors.
A time saving service coupled with a convenient and inclusive interface.
I like estibot.com and namebio.com as you might derive. But it is based on personal use and results.

Generic keyword names are better evaluated than others. Dot Mobi and TV do not fare very well (imho). Brandable names can not be accurately evaluated. (WHo can?) Best used with generic TLD's. Much like the end user market.

Namenut's explanation is good. I use estibot all the time, but I am *extremely* careful about interpreting the results. It is the only automated appraisal I use, and find the other automated services I have tried completely worthless. As said above, it provides good stats at a glance. Some of the valuations are *way* off, both on the high and low end, but it is still the best automated service out there.

As with real estate, the most useful information frequently comes from comps.
