VideoCounty.com


Estibot.com appraised it at $590 and namebio.com gave me the following similar sales:


VideoGirl.com sold for $1,660.

VideoChair.com sold for $588.

VideoFish.com sold for $502.

VideoDigs.com sold for $500

And for those who do not speak English too well, "county" means "area".



So what would you appraise this at?

Hmm to start lets analize why the other domains was sold.

Videogirl - was for keywords
Videochair - too
Videodigs - maybe because of digg? And people wanna do something like that? Or because digs (is a short for digital)?
Videofish - i dont have any idea!

So i think you probably gonna get something like xx$ because of the other sells... I thing i shouldn't get something more than that!

i wouldn't think too much of the free appraisals like estibot. I had an appraial of $11000 from DNscoop for a dotinfo and for the life of me can't figure out why....but in reality it was a bit of nonesense. If someone wants it, they will pay you...that's about it.

Personally this is one of those I would keep away from unless you have a clear vision of development, video sites too have a very large bandwidth requirement that will burn money and with only 40 people a month looking for the exact term where will the traffic be coming from?

You shouldn't be using Estibot for your appraisals in a dollar amount, but use it for its analytics of traffic and searches as well as ads and competition...only when it's appraisals get above $2000 do things get interesting I find

You also have to wonder when those sites where sold for that price, was it recently two months ago or was it at the height of the .com madness when idiots where throwing insane amounts of money at anything with a .com attached?

VideoChair I can understand as that could be commercially viable, not a clue what the others are doing there though...

Reg fee for now until you figure out a way to get traffic and revenue.

My original intention was (and still is) to develop this, not sell the domain name. I am mainly an internet marketer and I have some very good free methods that I've been testing to get tons of targeted traffic. I also own a web hosting company so bandwidth isn't much of an issue.

Thanks for your response though. I didn't see any value in it when I purchased it but I liked the name for the site I was developing.
