Is this normal at Epik ?

A few of my .org domains that expired on around 21st to24th December have been asked to renew with redemption fees.
I assumed a grace period of atleast 30 to 40 days

Is this a normal practice at Epik ?

@Rob Monster
@Intelliname

Thanks

Epik has decided to host Parler, a social network of bigotry and hate.

This is one more action in a series where Epik has sponsored or supported hate.

I am immediately transferring all domains out of Epik and encourage others to do the same, as a symbol of solidarity against hate, violence, bigotry, and those who enable it.

I will no longer use Name Liquidate.

I want nothing to do with Epikkk.
Not related to this specific thread, the general Epik thread would have been better :/
However, not sure it's a bad sign they decided to welcome them, Can you post your comment in the other thread so comments on it are correctly located on nP ?

Thread is still highly relevant.

I'm fairly confident I *had* already been granted a longer renew period (as a NPer), perhaps a couple years ago, but that ability seems to have been removed from my account. Seems I was somehow back down to 15 days, until I reached out to support just now.

As usual, it's Profits over Customer with this company.

TLDR; if you for whatever reason must use Epik......... you better confirm / re-confirm your renewal grace period!

More people coming out of the woodwork.

Thanks for bumping this thread 4PM on Saturday.

Go Epik!!! My favorite company.

GDDY is the one all about profits; you must be confused;
Invest in the publicly traded company with shareholders,

i’ll stick with my American Private 🇺🇸 Epik. Thank you

Standard grace period is 15 days. That said, NP members can usually get courtesy restores upon request, assuming there was no backorder.

Grace period can also be extended upon request. For eligible TLDs, it can be up to 35 days but usually people who need that much grace period have broken business models.

Also, after day 15 of expiry, domains are not eligible for NameLiquidate, which is the other reason why 15 day is set as default since most will want to take advantage of that.

For those not aware, with NameLiquidate, the registrant keeps 91% of the proceeds from monetizing their own expiry stream.
I just emailed support about extending my grace period and they are saying it can't be done. I have domains expiring on the 12th of this month, funds for renewals will be available by month end. I need the grace period to be extended to the standard 35 days. Thank you.
