Hi folks,
Got this info from a registrar.

.TV Expiry Information:
Upon expiry of a .TV name, you will be unable to make changes until a renewal is applied. There is a grace period of 40 days which starts on the day of expiry. You may renew your .tv in this period without penalty.

.TV Redemption Information:
After the 40 day grace period, a 30 day redemption period begins. Should you wish to renew your .tv domain at this point, a redemption charge will be applied. Once the 30 day redemption period is up, the domain will be deleted at a random time over the following 7 days.

So basically it's between 70 to 77 days after an expiring .tv name becomes available up for grabs again.

Should it not be after expiring?

Just renew or transfer your .TV domain before 7-10 days, you should be ok. But again, if you treasure your domains, you renew them ahead of time.

Does anyone know of any software to help find quality expired .tv's?

Ronnie,
More than 50% of expiring names will be taken by the registry and named as so called "premiums". I think currently there is no dropcatching software program or online service available for .tv names.

Nothing like that, drops are verified by enom and they decide to release at different price levels.

recently: golftv.tv

it was released as a $1k premium :'(
