advice Epik.com / Undeveloped landing page

I hand-registered a domain name at uniregistry in 2017
moved it into epik.com in 2018

I need stats
I need to know what reaction I get on a domain name
not seeing any hits
makes me want to delete - nonrenew a domain


now looking at stuff randomly
I discovered something strange

here is what happened:

the domain is not in my undeveloped account,
but in epik.com 's undeveloped account

Maybe they owned it before? A couple of months ago I hand registered a name and wanted to add it to Undeveloped. I was not able to. I sent an email and they verified it is mine and moved from the account of the previous seller to mine. So it happens.

Ah, I see. As Abdullah mentions, this situation mostly happens when the current account holder owned the domain before you.

The domain in question was added to Undeveloped on the 28th of March in 2017.

We've got a new automated ownership verification system in mind. Hopefully, that will resolve this kind of friction in the near future.

Frank - I see we owned it back in 2011 and dropped it. This is a common problem with marketplaces that are not registrars. Anyone can claim to own a domain, and submit a domain into the marketplace. It is a particularly severe problem with Sedo but exists generally also with parking companies. I am not aware of any inquiries for it. Mystery solved. Let us know if we can assist here.

Redirect on works best since we can host our support widget when you redirect to the pages hosted on Undeveloped.com.

After experimenting with both I find epik landing page better. They even share the contact of potential buyer and with clear details about IP of visitors.
